If you need to create a grid of points that get their elevation from a design or surveyed tin, you can do this with the Regular Grid of Tin panel. To open this panel go to Tins >> Utilities >> Grid DTM.

The field you will need to complete are:

  1. Select the TIN you want the grid of points to be draped to.
  2. If you want you can select a min and max X and Y coordinate for the grid to be created to.
  3. The Delta X and Y are the spacing of the points in the grid.
  4. Enter in a new model name to create the points in, or select an existing model.
  5. What colour you want the points to be.
  6. You can select the area with either a regular rectangle of free form poly.
